Description
Another one from *Gold-Seven's watercolor workshop. And again the medicine seller.
The tree looked actually really crappy halfway through the painting, therefore the title. I actually like this one most of all the pictures I've done at the workshop. Well, it's still just a loose crappy sketch, but it's kinda nice.
I was wondering about what is the better approach to watercolor for illustration. I like to make just a loose pencil sketch, mess around with paint, and then add the lineart where it seems necessary. So I don't really know where I get before I'm there.
Many people I see do a complete lineart first and that seems like a more professional and controlled approach to me.

This illustration is very beautiful, just use the approach that gives you best results.
I think that the best of this one is precisely the air of improvisation that it has. I usually like that better than something that looks like very precise. "Perfection" and precision are not compulsorily synonyms
